This is my F-Bass, I purchased this bass used in 1998 from Guitar Center. I got a great deal and it has been a great bass. It had the original style two band pre-amp, it was a great sounding pre-amp but it was rather cumbersome to set, so, I installed a John East 5 Knob Deluxe pre-amp, and it sounds great. F Guitars use wood knobs, over time I cracked most of them from tightening the set screws.

My BN5, the pic on the left it has the factory two band preamp, on the right, it has a new preamp, pickups, pickup covers, tuners and bridge. You could say that all is left is the neck, body, strap buttons and some screws. it's a good ole' boy.

You can see that I have put some wear on this bass.

He will grow in to it!
